Another year Another blessing, celebrating my years on earth and on the 11th of april,2021, I turned 30…
Faith makes my life worth living, thank you Lord for everything
How to celebrate your 30th birthday? For me, exploring and seeing the beauty of the things you’ve been dreaming of, be on a trip to remember… I got to experience it, and it made me feel like I am in movies, stunning, just breathtaking views. There were moments that I forgot to capture using the camera because I really want to be immersed in it and just feel every moment.
ROADTRIP to REMEMBER
While writing this now 18th, April 2021, I am still feeling in awe of what I saw during this road trip, I captured some and hopefully I made justice in sharing how they look, AMAZING
me with the views
I know I ruined them haha, but I have to, it is my birthday celebration anyway. Road trip started in Christchurch, south part of New Zealand, on the way, beautiful lakes will welcome you and the most popular ones are Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki. I prayed in the Good Shepherd Church, this is a small church beside lake tekapo, I loved the peace it brought me. Blue water in lake pukaki is unreal almost like a big pool but a lake, one of the most beautiful lakes I have seen so far. We had lunch by lake tekapo in a cafe called dark sky then we went to see Mt. Cook. This is the tallest mountain in New Zealand and this is the highlight of my trip, the mountains, the glaciers, they surround you and they were so near, it almost felt like you could touch them. We stayed here for one night, and the following morning, I am officially 30, birthday messages I got are so special from family and friends. My family always touched me, they made me emotional. Honestly when we were having breakfast I kept looking at the windows, the mountains were so beautiful and really near. Before I continue, here are some of my pictures up to Mt Cook.
and MORE views
More beauty, leaving Mt Cook and going to Queenstown. On the way, are the small towns, one by the lake again, Lake Wanaka and the other one is Arrowtown. On this trip, I really, for the first time, saw Autumn season at its best, all kinds of yellow, red, brown, pink trees were everywhere, Autumn in April is Awesome. One of the best experiences of my life. We had our lunch in the big fig by the Lake Wanaka, and then we got to see small shops in Arrowtown before going to our place of stay in Queenstown. Again, stunning views and I am always missing them.
a TREAT
Touchdown Queenstown, our accommodation is one of a kind, we got a full lakefront view, I got lucky seeing this online and I will definitely be back in this. We had dinner in the city at the Grille with a perfect medium rare steak haha, I was so happy since that was a first for me having medium rare, it was delicious. We also had many soft pork glazed ribs haha, a seafood chowder and herbal drinks with a punch. Ending the night with a simple greeting on a plate with dark chocolate mousse on the side. Memorable night, thankful. I got to make a wish, this was my third wish, I got my first cake from family, second cake from friends and this was my third time blowing a candle however this is my birthday, it was the right day.
let’s see MORE
I did not want this trip to end really, but before going back, let’s see my love first, Glenorchy. This is the place that made me say I will have to come back here. The ambiance here is incomparable, this is my favorite place in whole New Zealand so far. Although autumn is not the best season to visit this, I have to see this place, season does not matter to me when seeing this. Also, we managed to see one more place that was surprisingly fun and beautiful too, Cromwell. Finally, to summarize, I would just say what a wonderful trip. Overflowing happiness that already a week has passed but I could still feel it. I am just happy I got a chance to experience these things and will have MORE OF THESE, in the future, I PROMISE.
